We had a very exciting week where the children explored colour and shape used lots of different materials and techniques through the study of art by different artists. They used bold colours and paints to recreate the style of Joan Miro. Marbles to recreate Jackson Pollock's style of art. Shapes of all different colours and sizes to recreate the work in the style of Wassily Kandinsky. Bold colours using crayons or felt pens to recreate the work of Piet Mondrian 'Wee Blue Coo' a favourite title of some of our children. Finally 'The Snail' by Henri Matisse using gummed paper.
The week ended with the very popular scratch art.
