Welcome to Year 2

Welcome to Year 2, a year of growth, challenge, and achievement. As the final year of Key Stage 1, Year 2 builds on the strong foundations developed in earlier years while preparing children for the transition to Key Stage 2.

Children are encouraged to become more independent and confident learners, developing their skills in reading, writing, and mathematics through engaging and purposeful learning experiences. We promote curiosity, resilience, and pride in their work, while continuing to provide a nurturing and supportive environment where every child feels valued and motivated to succeed.
